I wonder if Microsoft monitors their own forum feeds because this problem seems to be something that may have started after a regular Windows 7 upgrade; the problem began for me about 4-5 months ago. Before that, everything was fine, and I had made no
changes to my system, and had been running Windows 7 32 , upgraded from XP, for over a year.
Mine crashes to the black screen about 1 time out of 10 when I hit the "Reply" button in Windows Mail. It recovers fairly quickly, but some of the Live Mail screen remains black, like where the buttons are, so I must close it, losing any email I was composing.
I have an NVIDIA display card, and the newest driver for Windows 7.
After reading all of the posts, it seems that the only thing they have in common is Windows 7.
