Can someone help me get CARDFILE.EXE running under windows 7/XP Compatibility?

You can associate all CRD files with cardfile.exe. Then make a shortcut to any of your CRD files and the shortcut will auto-launch cardfile.exe and open your clicked CRD file in it.

How do you associate CRD files with cardfile.exe? Easy. Right click any of your CRD files, select Properties. On the General tab, there is an item labeled: "Opens with:". There is a "CHANGE" button to the right of that which, when clicked, takes you to a list of applications from which you can choose. You can have your system open CRD files with whatever application you choose but CRD files are native to cardfile.exe so that would be your best choice.

    Neither azz  nor EviEdit will recognise .crd files containing cards wth 'pictures'. That is, cards with embedded word docs containing, for example, telephone lists.

    The 16 bit cardfile.exe works fine with 32 bit windows but not even with xp 64 bit .

    I understand that the 32 bit cardfile.exe issued with some versions of NT will work with 64 bit and would love to check it out as I need to access my cards.

    WHERE THE HECK CAN I GET A COPY.

    here is a copy of the 64 bit version, works fin on 64 bit windows 7.....program is ancient, might be time to start looking ahead, just my opinion....But i did try this on windows 7 64bit, had a client who uses it and was freaking out that it was no longer working after i upgraded him to windows 7 64... Now, he has what he was using.works just like before.

    Yep! This is the cardfile to use. Unlike azz etc. it works properly. I reckon that's the end of the thread.

    all i want to know is why with all the **** and problems ever one is having why we or all of us cant get a post going for ms to see asking them to put this program back into their newers verison of windows
