Can someone help me get CARDFILE.EXE running under windows 7/XP Compatibility?

You can associate all CRD files with cardfile.exe. Then make a shortcut to any of your CRD files and the shortcut will auto-launch cardfile.exe and open your clicked CRD file in it.

How do you associate CRD files with cardfile.exe? Easy. Right click any of your CRD files, select Properties. On the General tab, there is an item labeled: "Opens with:". There is a "CHANGE" button to the right of that which, when clicked, takes you to a list of applications from which you can choose. You can have your system open CRD files with whatever application you choose but CRD files are native to cardfile.exe so that would be your best choice.

    Thank goodness I still have my old cardfile folders. WindowsXP dropped it a long time ago and I assumed it would not work in version 7, but now I'll act on this useful information,(already voted) .

    There are several versions of CardFile* but only one of them will run under 64-bit OS like Win7 64, the 32-bit Cardfile.exe that was included on the NT 3.51 installation disks. It's actually a four-file "kit" so to speak (cardfile.cn_, cardfile.ex_, cardfile.hl_, and cards.dl_) that must be decompressed for use.     Actually finding the files might be more work since I don't trust just any old link out there and Microsoft conveniently forgot where they put those files LOL ;-) but the advantage of using CardFile or the AZZ program is they are standalone. Converting to Outlook, as some suggest, brings in a freakin' ton of spaghetti-ware overhead ... though, if you're already an Outlook user, you probably don't even notice the system performance hit any more! LOL

    Hello,

    is it possible to change the font?

    In an old application I had 16 lines per card.  With this new 64 bit application each car is truncate at 11 lines.  Do you know if it is possible to change that?

    The internetvail.com/files/ link requires login and password - how did you have those and are they generic so anyone is allowed to login?  I went to the internetvail.com site but it was all about weather.   Thank u!!!!!
