How do you change the screen orientation by 90 degrees (rotate by 90 degrees)?

My skype page is rotated and it's not in it's normal condition. How do I put it back?

The language is different too. Please help.

Thank you so very much for providing a quick fix for this perplexing issue. I was just responding to an email from an Amazon vendor (I checked the email address before responding) and my screen orientation suddenly went from horizontal to vertical. I was afraid I had introduced a virus or some other malicious bug into my laptop. This easy to find response was extremely appreciated. I feel like I've had a "Der!" moment and survived.

The suggested Cntrl>Alt>arrow did not work for me on a desktop machine running Vista 64 & multiple monitors.  I found that it is very complicated to change screen orientation on a Vista desktop machine but, if you persevere and do not cuss too hard you can get there.  But you can very easily undo what you've done, so you have to follow these instructions very carefully.

This is what you have to do

Begin by being aware that setting the rotation means using both the Personalise  and the Tablet settings on the Control Panel (or their aliases).   So find them and get both of the windows open first.

Start by setting the Monitor that you want to rotate so that it is the Primary Monitor (even if you don't want it to be primary you will have to do this temporarily).

Set the Primary Monitor to the one you want to rotate like this:

Personalise>Display Settings (get to Personalise via Control panel or click on desktop and choose Personalise).

To set the secondary monitor to Primary, click on its image.  Then Check ‘this is my main monitor’ (it is the UNCHECKED item shown below) and then Click Apply

Then go to the Tablet Control

This can only be located on Control Panel.  Double Click it to start it.

Now set the rotation of whichever Primary monitor is now chosen.  Experiment with the rotations by applying them.  E.g. to Landscape, as shown below where the Tablet>Display Settings panel is in use.  When you are happy with the rotation that you have applied, you can restore the normal choice of Primary Monitor, if you wish.

Don’t

If, after you have used the Tablet settings you still have a Personalise display open it will show the wrong rotation for your screen because it does not update when you rotate the screen.  Cancel this screen.  DON’T click OK;  all your work will be undone and the old incorrect settings will be restored.

Still have Problems?

If you find that the advice above still does not work for you, you are probably not using the display panel of the Tablet control.  There are settings on its 'General' tab that look a bit similar to those shown above but they are to do with calibrating a Tablet Pen and are meaningless in this context.   Either that, or you are clicking OK in Personalise.
