Essentially, my PC won't recognize my GoGear Opus MP3 player (or iPod nano). However, I am using a USB mouse and keyboard at the moment with no problem. I had this same problem on this PC when I had Vista. I upgraded to 7 hoping this issue would be solved, but it is still there.

I was having the same problem with my ipods. I then, just by chance, decided to use a different cable and to my surprise, this fixed the problem. Both cables appear identical and both cables are original apple ipod cables. I was able to use both cables in my previous computer. However can only use one with my new computer running Windows 7. Hope this helps.

I had code 43 problems with my usb ports until I found a thread on MSI's website. My front panel usb ports connected to a 9 pin usb header on the motherboard. Only 8 pins are needed. If pin 9 has a black ground wire then remove it. I didnt give this fix much hope but it fixed my problems! Good luck.

it's my third day i'm trying to solve this. i have ipod classic 80 gb, since installing win 7 everything was ok on previous os's. After pluging in i have Code 43, i tried everything even deleting filters from registry (wasn't good), i installem itunes many times, i tried to manually install ipod from file and after that i had Code 10 so the device isn't installed properly. BUT i plugged ipod into socket and in Device Manager uninstalled USB 2.0 driver, and it worked, ipod appeared immediatelly, but there is one problem in itunes, tracks are copying so slow that i want to cry, i dont know why it won't work on hi speed usb but maybe it's a new step to solve this sh...t
I also had the same issue and it appears to have something to do with the 9 pin usb header that Migarr is talking about, all I had to do was plug the device I was trying to connect into a different usb port on the rear of my machine. Thanks to Makavali for giving me the answer to fix this very frusterating problem!
