Essentially, my PC won't recognize my GoGear Opus MP3 player (or iPod nano). However, I am using a USB mouse and keyboard at the moment with no problem. I had this same problem on this PC when I had Vista. I upgraded to 7 hoping this issue would be solved, but it is still there.

I was having the same problem with my ipods. I then, just by chance, decided to use a different cable and to my surprise, this fixed the problem. Both cables appear identical and both cables are original apple ipod cables. I was able to use both cables in my previous computer. However can only use one with my new computer running Windows 7. Hope this helps.

I had code 43 problems with my usb ports until I found a thread on MSI's website. My front panel usb ports connected to a 9 pin usb header on the motherboard. Only 8 pins are needed. If pin 9 has a black ground wire then remove it. I didnt give this fix much hope but it fixed my problems! Good luck.

I am having the same code 43 error in Win 7 because of the front panel USB header. Nice Siverstone Sugo case. Had to unplug the headers to stop the pop-up. Can't really replace the cables easily because they are attached to the case. Thinking about cutting the black cable to see what happens but it is the Mother-in Laws puter. Biostar motherboards seem similar to MSI (same optical/spdif connector pinout) so maybe the USB issue is the same. Won't edit the registry...that seems silly. Might also try an internal PCI-USB card with a 9 pin header.... very frustrating!
Funny thing is the Front headers work fine. Can connect and use USB mouse and keyboard thru the front ports no problem except for the pop-up messages. Tried uninstalling the device and letting the OS reinstall but get an error upon detection. Updated the BIOS and chipset drivers to no avail.

hey well i bought an mp4 it looks like ipod
when i bought it it worked than i just wanted to put music there and it stoped and now is not turning
now when i put usb in computer is an notification and it says Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
what should i do i asked you because i just thought that you can give me advices how to fix it
