I receive Aero Lag when opening and closing windows in Windows 7

And quite where do I go to find audio chipset and driver info on that?

I installed Win7(x64) a week ago and this problem appears immediately.

My config:

1. NVIDIA 8600GT
2. Lastest drivers from nvidia.com
3. Clean install (formatted disk)
4. Motherboard: ASUS P5Q-PRO

Very annoying lag, I did not expect that in final release.

I also join the club. At the end of the opening animation and at the beginning of the closing animation there is a stutter. My computer:

1. Nvidia GeForce 7300
2. I tried everything: driver from Windows Update, latest final driver from nvidia.com and beta driver 195.39 from nvidia.com
3. Clean Install, no upgrade
4. Motherboard: Asus M2N-SLI

On a blank clean installation, withouth crapware or anything else, with all driver up to date, without any overclocking, I have this problem.

Yes, my graphic card is not fast, but every Aero animation is running as smooth as I can imagine besides exactly two things: opening windows and closing windows. This point and the fact, that people with high end graphic cards also have the stutter problem, let me think, that my slow graphic card is not the problem.

My laptop with integrated graphic unit and running Vista is not as fast as my desktop pc. But it can close and open windows without stuttering. I also tried the "Aero animation slow motion registry hack" on the notebook (Vista) and on my desktop pc (Seven). The result: Seven Aero is stuttering in real time and in slow motion. Vista Aero is not stuttering in real time and is not stuttering in slow motion.

The problem is opening and closing windows. Everything else is smooth.

Is there anybody without this problem? If yes, could this person please make a slow motion video of opening and closing windows? That would be nice. Thank you.

A possible fix...try reinstalling Adobe Flash while in Safe Mode. This came from the guys at Geek Squad. Apparently they are using this to fix (____! I just did it and it that lag just came back, oh well. Worth a shot.
