I receive Aero Lag when opening and closing windows in Windows 7

Please do post a video...because I feel you are having the lag issue but don't see it because you have OCD...I have been to Best Buy, Computer stores etc and all the systems I've tested it with have the lag issue.

Display models at stores are always going to be horrible.  They don't get maintained, they're left running for extended periods and they have crapware installed.

My Windows 7 is running on its own partition, paging file is on a separate partition, no performance related issues that I didn't initiate or was unaware of (i.e. virus scan).  Definitely no window animation issue...none. You can tell from my video that my experience is NOTHING like some of those other YouTube where it's just lagging when you open or close; that's a performance issue OR they don't have a graphics card that can handle that sufficiently. 

Some of you have to understand...the reason Vista was so taxing had to do with how they were handling screen output and background processes.  In Vista these items were at the forefront, and Aero in particular was a beast.  In Windows 7 as much as possible has been offloaded to the GPU, which is why the performance is faster, but it's also the reason you might be experiencing these types of things, especially on the Intel integrated chipsets vs. dedicated nVidia or ATI chipsets.

I've been using Windows 7 since RC1.  I have absolutely no idea what any of you are talking about, and I've got the worst OCD I can think of.

In fact, I'm more than happy to post a video to prove what I'm saying.  I happen to have an HD camcorder ready.

Is there anybody working on this issue or will there anybody work on this issue?

Some other reports:

• I notice the same stutter; in the open window animation it's like the animation is in two stages and the transition isn't smooth. I notice it more in the close window animation, though; it's more distracting there.
• Yep, I can confirm as well: there is stutering issue when open/close windows in Win7 :( I'm using build 7000. Hope that MS will fix this because it is very irritating and distracting :(

I have 6 gigs of RAM on my PC, a 8800GTS 512 MB and a AMD X2 4200 @2.2 Ghz, and I have the issue.

My laptop, 2 gigs of RAM, a 2.2 Ghz C2D, 8600M GT 128MB has the issue.

My grandfather's Desktop: AMD Phenom II X3 820 (IIRC) at 2.8 Ghz, 4 gigs of RAM, HD3200 has the issue.

My father's laptop: 1.5 Ghz C2D, 2 gigs of RAM, Intel GMA x3100 has the issue.

My friend's desktop: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, AMD HD4850 512 MB, 4 gigs of RAM, has the issue.

My other friend's netbook: AMD Neo 1.6 Ghz CPU, 2 gigs of RAM, AMD X1350 has the issue.

I also have another one to add to the list. My other roommate with a Dell Studio 14z with a 2.1 Ghz C2D CPU, 3 gigs of RAM, 9400M with the latest drivers. He too suffers from the bug, and he too didn't notice it until I pointed it out to him.

I still believe, that every Windows 7 PC has this problem, but not every user see the lag. Is there any chance, that the lag will be removed?
