I receive Aero Lag when opening and closing windows in Windows 7

I'm also getting this lag or snap, whatever you want to call it. It's very annoying. I hope this gets a fix soon. I always liked the animation in Vista so I'm won't consider turing it off in Windows 7.

Specs are:

Windows 7 x64

ASUS P5Q Deluxe mobo

Core2Duo E8400 @ 3.6GHz

4GB Ram

GTX260 OCX

2 x 500GB HDD's

i get the same thing when open and close lag. I didnt like it so went back to vista 

My specs:

MSI :KA780G mobo

4gb of ram @800mhz

ati3200 yes it sucks but should run Aero fine

hdd: 300gb 200gb

Just chiming in that I also have this issue. I noticed it from the very first time I closed a window in Windows 7 with Aero on and it bothered me. I could initially not find any massive threads of people with the same problem so I'm glad I found this one.  It is only when opening and closing windows . Anyone who has it when minimizing and maximizing likely just has a slow machine, AND WE ARE LIKELY NOT TALKING ABOUT THE SAME BUG . I am a system builder with over 13 years of experience. IT IS on every Windows 7 machine I have build/installed it on, whether people realize it or not. It IS THERE regardless of what drivers are installed. If microsoft cannot see/replicate the issue, they are clearly blind and need to have someone such as myself sit next to them and demonstrate the issue, and say "LOOK, DON'T YOU SEE THAT!"  :)

Many users will not notice this because they are not ____ about it. I can't believe this forum is blocking out the word an-al. They don't pay attention to small details like this, and that is fine. Nothing wrong with that, but there is something wrong with Windows 7's aero. Vista's aero on the same exact hardware I am listing below is 100% smooth. **I agree in that I think it is a missing frame that should be there, but isn't.**The scary thing is that the designers may have done this on purpose to make it look a little different from Vista's Aero.

You're exactly right. I do fear that Microsoft would have "done this on purpose". If they did, words fail to describe what I'd like to call them. Most likely the forums would block out what I try to say.
