UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK since we've got the ball rolling here, I am editing this to better reflect what is going on. The below links are just a few out of hundreds of post you will find on the internet about this Aero Lag. Some offer workarounds and some don't. I just Googled Aero Lag and this was from the first page.

If you have the same problem, please provide:

  1. What type of graphics card you have.
  2. What kind of drivers are you using (Win7 preinstalled or manufacturer's drivers)
  3. Was your version of Win7 an update or clean install.
  4. What motherboard you have.

From the sounds of it, Microsoft is looking for a fix.

I also ask for a forum admin to make this a sticky as many people are experiencing this problem.

**Have solved my problem withAeor lag.**Reinstall Windows 7 U64 twice with new/old driver.

Replaced Gforce 8800GTX with Gforce GTX480.

Have spent many days on this problem without a solution.

But here is a very simple solution that works for me.

I removed the USB extension cablefor my CreativeHS-1200WirelessUSB Gaming Headset.

Aero lags when Iused USB extension cable and headset charging.

Without USB extension cable, everything is fine.

So it think itis a voltagedrop in the USB extension cable,causes the system to lag. ?

    I have a Asus/AMD combo, but I didn't see a ACC function. Maybe my mainboard or my CPU is too old. My BIOS is up to date.

    This was in response to ajm786: Wow, if I was experiencing what is displaying in those youtube videos I would be somewhat po'd myself. As it stands for me (thank God), I am NOT experiencing any video problems on any of my systems. Not when opening windows on the desktop, nor when min/maximizing windows. My laptop system, in my opinion, would be the most likely candidate for troubles in this area, and all video on it is running very smoothly (If I knew how to record this I would and then show you all). I looked up my hardware specs and it so happens I have an NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTS graphics card with an older driver that happens to be the one that came stock with my system. If I'm not mistaken, NVIDIA was mentioned as one of the HW devices that users were having difficulty with. Driver v 7.15.11.6746, and dated by the system as 11/15/2007. I hope that everyone gets their problems worked out, sooner rather than later, but you all have to know that there are those out there (like me) that have no problems what so ever. For informational purposes only: My system is a Gateway P-6860FX, CORE 2 DUO - T5550, 4G mem, Win7 64b Operating system. I have no idea how my system specs adds up to any of yours, but this machine is like 2 years old (roughly) and have no problems with it when it was loaded with Vista 64b, nor with Win7 64b. Again, I really hope things get worked out for those having troubles. If I can be of any assistance in posting some video, let me know (as well as giving me directions on how I could do it (possibly using my systems video system), and I would be happy to try to help).

    glad to hear i'm not the only one & that this is being paid attention too

    hp pavillion dv6000

    nvidia 7150m/nforce 630m

    drivers 7.15.11.7967 updated from windows update (if there are more recent ones i would love to know)

    clean install.

    i should note that i'm having definate sound lags as well.
