UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK since we've got the ball rolling here, I am editing this to better reflect what is going on. The below links are just a few out of hundreds of post you will find on the internet about this Aero Lag. Some offer workarounds and some don't. I just Googled Aero Lag and this was from the first page.

If you have the same problem, please provide:

What type of graphics card you have.
What kind of drivers are you using (Win7 preinstalled or manufacturer's drivers)
Was your version of Win7 an update or clean install.
What motherboard you have.

From the sounds of it, Microsoft is looking for a fix.

I also ask for a forum admin to make this a sticky as many people are experiencing this problem.

**Have solved my problem withAeor lag.**Reinstall Windows 7 U64 twice with new/old driver.

Replaced Gforce 8800GTX with Gforce GTX480.

Have spent many days on this problem without a solution.

But here is a very simple solution that works for me.

I removed the USB extension cablefor my CreativeHS-1200WirelessUSB Gaming Headset.

Aero lags when Iused USB extension cable and headset charging.

Without USB extension cable, everything is fine.

So it think itis a voltagedrop in the USB extension cable,causes the system to lag. ?

No, I'm not confused. That's what I'm trying to show. The Microsoft mod, Arthur Li, is the one who was confused. We don't have a problem maximizing and minimizing. We have a problem opening and closing windows. My own video that I posted shows me opening and closing windows, not maximizing/minimizing. I was also trying to point out that you cannot capture this problem with a cell phone camera because it's too slow (too low refresh rate, so it misses the point that the window "snaps").

Randall, no the registry tweak that I was showing is a trick to slow down the animation effect when opening/closing a window. That way you can see CLEARLY the problem that we are experiencing.

The maximizing and minimizing effect I see is as perfect as it is in Windows Vista. The closing and opening effect is my problem. When I read some threads on the web, most people have only the opening/close issue and no other Aero problems. It seems, you have the max/min problem and some additional problems, too?!

Well, if this would be true, why not putting more stutters into Windows? The answer is: Nobody wants stutters. Computer become faster and faster, now they are so fast, that smooth Aero animations are possible, and without any reason Microsoft put stutters in fluent animations??? No, I don't think it was supposed to be like that. But in case they really did it, they could create some new slogans for the commercials: "Buy Windows Seven! Now with more stutters!" lol

While I could maybe live with the opening stuttering as a new "pop" effect, if it's supposed to be a pop effect, the closing stuttering is just needless and annoying.

There are discussions on the web about this stutter for months.

Is there any way to get the information, whether the stutter is supposed to exist?Will there be a patch?
