Windows Live Mail error: "One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found. When you send this message these pictures will not be included. Are you sure you want to send this message?"

For anyone having the picture forwarding issue in WLM:  One way around the problem is downloading Mozilla's Thunderbird email program - it's free; I have used it and it does work.  However, I have found that WLM seems more intuitive with a built-in feature set that is more convenient than Thunderbird

Another potential issue with TBird:  Limitation of number of messages - I forget what it was, but there is an upper limit that forced me to delete messages.  Until old Microsoft gets its act together, choose the poison:

I think microsoft purposely made windows live this way. Little stunts like this is reason why when windows 8 is released, I'm dropping microsoft for a more reliable OS. I beta tested windows 98-7 for microsoft over the years. After windows 7 was released without something like outlook express or windows mail. That was the last straw for me. Microsoft is on my poop list now. Windows live mail, I absolutely hate everything about it. Opening it, tears my hair out. Totally unorganized, it's a mess. Has no functionality, bugs up the kazoo. Only way around it is Buying outlook, which I feel is a ripoff. That should be included with IE regardless. You pay to much for windows already, let alone for a email client and other typical items that you feel you are paying for a product. Also windows live mail has all this other junk like imap,  Really? Like I'm going to download email from something like hotmail lol.

I would not buy a virus scanner that also didn't look for malware or phishing. Should be included. And most companies do include it free. I wouldn't buy a photoshop if paint brushing wasn't included. I wouldn't buy a tv without a electric cord.

Typically I buy around 25 window's license for each computer. That's 25 less when win 8 is released.

This is only one of the problems I have with Windows 7.  I liked Windows XP, disliked Vista, and hate Windows 7.  There are too many problems with everything I try.  MS wants to palm their customers' problems off on other users.  No wonder Apple customers do not want to get involved with Microsoft!

I finally had enough.  I broke down and bought Microsoft Office with Outlook.  Yes, Microsoft should sell you the whole package and allow you to install what you will need.  I have never needed a spread sheet function and can live without Excel.  But Email?  That's as much a given as a word processor.

I agree with you Microsoft's engineers are not improving their OS with each new version.  Maybe success has gone to its corporate head.  They certainly get enough feedback from dissatisfied users and have the ability to give customers what they want.

Like most of us, I guess, I chose to go with Microsoft because it was the "name" back in the day.  Apple just seemed like a cute name for a wanna-be.

The industry itself has gotten too cocky for its and our own good.  Too many restrictions and complications in communication with suppliers when you need help.  When I have a problem, I want an expert to respond to my request with a solution.  I don't want to have to go through a raft of other amateurs' similar complaints on several web pages with not a word from the vendor.  Tech support should have no time limits or version limits.  Customers should be getting wise to the fact that every new version is not better technically or productively than its predecessor. 

I still use XP on my old Gateway PC.  If my HP Notebook hadn't have come with Windows 7, I wouldn't be using it.
