Windows Live Mail error: "One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found. When you send this message these pictures will not be included. Are you sure you want to send this message?"

I have tried inserting the pic in the mail through WLM. I have dragged and dropped it into the email. I have tried to set it as a file attachment rather than being displayed, and I have even tried using a direct link to the pic on my hard drive ... All failed. 

This sounds suspect. The problem that this thread is concerned with is that of forwarding messages that contain embedded images. There is no general problem with sending images.

As always, the error message will give clues to what's wrong. If you don't remove an unsent message from the outbox, it can cause a logjam so that subsequent messages won't be sent, either. Please check that the outbox is empty before sending a new test message with an attached image to yourself, then examine any error message that appears.

Thanks for the reply. I tried that before and someone or something hacked into my email account and started sending spam through the google mail. I contacted google mail; Gmail: Windows Live Mail: and

my number of emails allowed on each account had already reached maximum allowance every day.

I had not had satisfactory results or contacts back to me from any  of the places I emailed..and called on the landline. Even my internet provider Cableone.net tried to help me, but the problem was a 'Google Mail' hijinks.

 To solve the problem, I found a Microsoft agent in California that charged me a one time fix price of $89.95....and they did fix it and they changed my password on everything I used.

 After I hung up on that company, I went back into all my sites that require my password and I changed it again so that even the company in California did not have it.

I personally do not like 'Google Mail' and I wish that Google would leave things alone and stop changing things all the time,

To be honest I have been using WLM for over 6 years with no issues before.

Tonight for the first time, (Sunday May 05, 2013), I tried to send an email and attach a pic as I normally do, and have been doing for years. And I got this error.

So it must be related to a recent change windows update. I don't know why it cannot find the pic since it IS saved on my hard drive. I have tried inserting the pic in the mail through WLM. Since Pictures in general seem to no longer work in WLM, I'll simply have to go use Google Mail exclusively now. I preferred using WLM, but my business requires me to mail pics to my clients all the time. So if MS wants to make life difficult and stop allowing pics in emails, there are other options.

Google Mail works fine.

I have the same problem.  The only way I can find is to forward the whole email as an attachment.  That works, but then you have the problem of you are now forwarding everyones email address.  I don't want to do that for privacy reasons!

At the top of the page in WLM on the HOME tab, click the little black arrow under FORWARD then click FORWARD AS ATTACHMENT.  This will forward the email with pictures intact.

Another possibility that would be better than going back to your old computer would be to download Mozilla Thunderbird, a free email program.
