Windows Live Mail error: "One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found. When you send this message these pictures will not be included. Are you sure you want to send this message?"

I have not received a satisfactory solution to this problem.  Microsoft must be resting on its laurels and doesn't feel it needs to offer a proper Email program.  I have Outlook Express 6 on my old PC but it asks for my POP server and SMTP server and I haven't a clue.  Windows Live Mail comes with Windows Live Essentials and just IS.  Windows Live Hotmail isn't a program and I have to double click a shortcut on my desktop to open it.  It's incredibly slow and I have to wait to forward an Email with or without photos.  Poor engineering and lack of respect for consumer's desires in an Email program.

I have the same problem. I beat myself into the ground trying to find a fast way to forward the email with the attached pictures but nothing easy would work. I could copy the pictures to my hard drive and then insert them into a new email but that is to much work. I switched to Microsoft Outlook. Just forwarding the message works fine there. If Microsoft Live Mail ever gets there problem fixed I might switch back.

The problem with forwarding pictures is almost always due to the pictures (in the email to be forwarded) not actually included in the message's code (i.e. they reside on a web server which allows WLM to display them but not send them).

 

If the picture is not attached or inserted into the original message then the best route after opening or previewing the message desired to be forwarded

1. Save the picture to a folder on the hard drive
2. Click on the WLM's forward option in the message or ribbon (menu)/toolbar
3. Delete the picture shown in the message
4. Insert the saved picture  (repeat for any other picture residing on a remote server)
5. Send the message

That's an awful lot of work when someone sends me a page with 10 or 20 photos or cartoons.  Since this doesn't occur with HotMail, one would think the geniuses at Microsoft would engineer the "picture saver" into its Live Mail program.  There are just too many features for Email that Microsoft/Windows is trashing and making its mail programs exactly that...trash.

I have the exact same problem. I sure hope it gets resolved. I really miss Outlook Express on my Windows 7 machine. That always worked fine sending pictures.
