Windows Live Mail error: "One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found. When you send this message these pictures will not be included. Are you sure you want to send this message?"

I am running Windows 7 Professional and WLM. Another suggestion to deal with how to read .eml files you have saved is to google the same and look for a solution there. Our only difference it appears is you have Word Perfect and I have Word. Word will open a .eml file. Can't help with Corel. What I suggest you do is buy Office 2011 Home and Student Version. It is relatively inexpensive and comes with 4 licenses.

I wish I could get rid of WLM but the alternative, which is Outlook, is too expensive. It is itself costly and, if purchased as a part of Microsoft's Office suite, drives up the cost. Microsoft has competition in the office suite arena but not with Outlook. The purchase prices reflect that reality.

Thanks for your interest and suggestion, but I already have the above unchecked. In an earier post, someone said they switched to Outlook for sending the mail. Was this Outlook Express? I am running windows 7 Professional. I didn't think there was a way to install Outlook Express on a Windows 7 machine.

Please let me know if there is any way to get away from WLM. It sure would solve this problem.

I can't help you on the Word Perfect program. I have Word and when I ask it to open the file it opens it.

I don't have Microsoft Word.  I use Corel Word Perfect.  When I select the .eml file, it asks me what text format I want to convert it from.  I don't know.

The other problem with Windows Live Mail is that I receive mail with .eml attachments and WLM doesn't open it.  I have to open Hotmail to see the message and/or photos.

Not a great answer but....

Highlight all of the text and images. Click on the far left tab...it has no name (it is the tab you would click on to print or select Options). Select Save, and then select Save As File. Opt to save it on your desktop. It will save as a .eml file.

Now open Microsoft Word and then open the .eml file. Select the text and images you want from Word, copy, and paste into a new email.

That will do it.
