Windows Live Mail error: "One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found. When you send this message these pictures will not be included. Are you sure you want to send this message?"

I think this problem started with the new Windows Live Mail update a few days ago.  Everytime my wife tries to forward one of her emails with a picture of some sort or another Mail comes back with the message

 "One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found.  When you send this message these pictures will not be included.  Are you sure you want to send this message?"

If you answer Yes WLM does send the email and the picture(s) are there but convoluted.  Is there some setting I need to change to get back to the "old" WLM.

    How do you fix the problem of windows 7 live mail not sending "one or more of the pictures will not be sent" when you forward an email that contained those pictures ?

    Do I need to go into the closet and dig out my old computer that had Windows XP because it worked fine?

    Please send me an answer to hgelp solve this problem. Thanks!

    How does one switch back to Microsoft Outlook?   I was quite happy with Outlook until recently when I couldn't "send" photos from original email that way.  Now I can't forward photos in Live Mail.  How can I get the best of both mail packages?

    Or, better yet, once you have the .eml file saved (save on the Desktop) open it with Word. You can then highlight the pictures and text, copy, and paste into a new email. Then it looks like it would have in Outlook Express.

    Thanks for the tip.  May I add one step:  Please click "Forward" before saving the email as a file, then delete the names/email addresses of those who have fowarded it before you, THEN click File/Save/Save as file.  I was very pleased to learn that it is possible to do this because when I click Forward/Forward as attachment, I cannot delete previous addresses.

    Here's my (trial-and-error) solution...no thanks to Microsoft   :-(

    This problem has been a frustration/annoyance for months...along with the other negative "upgrades" that we were obliged to swallow with Windows Live Mail (drop shadow with all images, loss of the stationery option, inability to lock in a default encryption

    • or ability to set no encryption, and this "pictures cannot be found..." nightmare). I've now worked around the stationery problem (thanks to the cloudeight.com web site) and the drop shadow problem, and have worked around the last problem with these steps:

    Open the email message that includes images with text that you wish to forward to others;

    Go to File/Save and click on "Save as file" in a folder where you can retrieve it, e.g., a particular Document folder;

    (It will automatically be saved as an .eml file)

    Open New email message and attach the saved file;

    Send

    Voila!
