How do I disable the Windows 7 Magnifier?

How do I disable Windows 7 Magnifier all together? It have the check box unchecked for starting at startup but my mouse button still starts it. I use to use that button for something else and Windows will not let me map it to the other application.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for using the Answers forum,

Give this a try:

Click on the Start button

All Programs

Accessories

Ease of Access Center

Then click on 'Make the computer easier to use' near the bottom.

Then unchecked 'Turn On Magnifier'. Hit OK and you're done.

    I disabled this magnifier by going into my mouse properties/buttons. One of the buttons was set for magnify and since it was on the side, I hit it often without knowing. I have a MS intellipoint mouse.

    Doesn't help at all .. nothing works .. want the programme OFF my Window 7 .. it is spoiling my time on laptop !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    what on earth are Microsoft doing .. they are FORCING us to have ths horrendous magnifier ... without any real way of removing it !!!!!!!!!

    I write & write to the micorsoft forum .. different answers come back .. none of the work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Please make a programme to get rid of it completely ..

    Always had windows .. now I feel I will have to change to Mac or anything rather than windows with magnifier !!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Anyone else feel the same ???
