How do I disable Windows 7 Magnifier all together? It have the check box unchecked for starting at startup but my mouse button still starts it. I use to use that button for something else and Windows will not let me map it to the other application.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi wil2liv,

Thank you for using the Answers forum,

Give this a try:

Click on the Start button

All Programs

Accessories

Ease of Access Center

Then click on 'Make the computer easier to use' near the bottom.

Then unchecked 'Turn On Magnifier'. Hit OK and you're done.

Let us know if this helps,

All you have to do is move your mouse very slowly and wait for the desired place to highlight, you sometimes have to click around the desired area like off to the side off the window just be patient. first go to START button and click RUN type in taskmgr  or just crtl/alt/delete it the task manager should then pop up. then go to the application tab and highlight magnifier right click and end the task! That was a given.

In Windows 7, If you started magnifier by pressing the (Windows logo key together with either NumPad - or NumPad +): <Window>+NumPad - or NumPad +, you can click the double arrow in the magnifying glass and then click the X in the upper right-hand corner to get rid of it.
