How do I disable the Windows 7 Magnifier?

How do I disable Windows 7 Magnifier all together? It have the check box unchecked for starting at startup but my mouse button still starts it. I use to use that button for something else and Windows will not let me map it to the other application.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for using the Answers forum,

Give this a try:

Click on the Start button

All Programs

Accessories

Ease of Access Center

Then click on 'Make the computer easier to use' near the bottom.

Then unchecked 'Turn On Magnifier'. Hit OK and you're done.

    Wouldn't it be much easier for the user world if the "disabling check box" be placed on the small magnifying window that appears on the screen?  Burying items like this through several levels of folders and with no manual for the OS makes it very difficult to find solutions like this.  Without the Internet it is very difficult to find solutions like this.

    I have suffered with the Magnifier, but I found a way to disable the Magnifier in Windows 7.

    Click on the following:

    1.  Start, 2.  Control Panel, 3. Mouse, 4. Mouse Properties menu will appear, 5. Mouse and Keyboard Center, 6. Click on "click here to change Microsoft Mouse Settings", 7. Select "Right Side Button"

     8. Select "Disable this Button" near the bottom.

    Hurray!  I have no more appearances of the dreaded MAGNIFIER!!!!!
