Error Code 66A

I keep getting an error code when I try to install the latest Security Update for .NET Framework 4 on Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2 for x64-based Systems (KB2160841)

    Remove Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0 with the .NET Framework Cleanup Tool (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2008/08/28/8904493.aspx ) , reinstall the Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0 and install the Update.

    The quick way to fix 66A is to select unistall/change for net4 and then use the repair option. The update will then install.

    I repaired Microsoft Net Framework 4 on Windows 7, right clicked selected uninstall then selected repair and then after that finished repairing.. re tried the install updates and it worked!! thank god, it was annoying me everytime on shut down and never worked, good to learn something new computer wise. Thanks
