Hi Ninjames,
I would suggest you to follow these steps and check if the issue is resolved.
1.
Verify that the accessory is an officially licensed Xbox 360 wireless accessory.
2.
Examine or replace the batteries to make sure that you have fully charged the
batteries in the Xbox 360 wireless accessory.
3.
Move the receiver away from other devices that could interfere with the wireless communication between the receiver and the Xbox 360 wireless accessory.
Note:
Devices such as wireless routers, cordless telephones, and microwave ovens can generate wireless interference.
4.
If the light on the receiver is not illuminated, examine the USB connection between the receiver and your computer. Make sure that the receiver is connected to a powered USB 2.0 port.
5.
If you are using a wireless keyboard or mouse, disconnect the keyboard or mouse and reconnect the the wireless gaming receiver. Then try reconnecting your Xbox 360 wireless device to the PC.
