Windows 7 Preview Pane not working

Hi everybody,

It seems that I've some kind of problem with the PREVIEW PANE of the EXPLORER which only works for pictures and not for others type of files ( for video it only shows a pic, doesn't work for .txt, .pdf etc).

Would you know how to fix this problem ?

Here you go,

In Windows Explorer, click Organize / Folder and Search options / View Tab.

Remove the Check Mark from the Always show Icons never Thumbnails option.

Click Apply / OK.

Same issue with WHS11 & Ran the scan - the process reported it identified certain issues and fixed them successfully. However, it didnot fix the picture preview issue.

So ran the scan again after rebooting the system and it didnot find any issues. The picture preview issue remains even after running the scan twice.

Thank you! One of the recurring issues I have is that there doesn't seem to be a one-stop shop to find out what the options that are checked/unchecked actually mean in terms of their effects on the normal usage of a program.
