Hi everybody,
It seems that I've some kind of problem with the PREVIEW PANE of the EXPLORER which only works for pictures and not for others type of files ( for video it only shows a pic, doesn't work for .txt, .pdf etc).
Would you know how to fix this problem ?
Regards

Same issue with WHS11 & Ran the scan - the process reported it identified certain issues and fixed them successfully. However, it didnot fix the picture preview issue.
So ran the scan again after rebooting the system and it didnot find any issues. The picture preview issue remains even after running the scan twice.
Its happened to me and this solution was useless. What did you do in the end ?
I agree. I didn't even look for a fix till I exhausted the simple fixes such as this. These people must think we are idiots to think we will buy this as a fix.
To determine whether the issue that you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool scans system files and replaces incorrect versions of the system files by using the correct versions.
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
1.Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.
- Right-click cmd in the Programs list, and then click Run as administrator.
3.If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue
4.At the command prompt, type the following line, and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow
When the scan is complete, test to see whether the issue that you are experiencing is resolved.

Useless. Scan didn't uncover any issues. In my 20 years experience with PCs, such broad-brush answers rarely work.
