Here you go,
In Windows Explorer, click Organize / Folder and Search options / View Tab.
Remove the Check Mark from the Always show Icons never Thumbnails option.
Click Apply / OK.

Hi everybody,
It seems that I've some kind of problem with the PREVIEW PANE of the EXPLORER which only works for pictures and not for others type of files ( for video it only shows a pic, doesn't work for .txt, .pdf etc).
Would you know how to fix this problem ?

The perfect solution. This has been driving me nuts for sometime. I looked in folder/view tab many times before and overlooked that switch.

2012-11-18T14:00:37+00:00 This Fix is temporary...I have yet to find a real solution to the problem...I view mainly pdf's. When it does happen the only way to fix is restart system...very unproductive!!!
