Comon Microsoft it has been six damn years any support for chat pad,it's very important for gamers while using obsolete windows live or steam services ,it's very important for multi player gaming ,because one wouldn't like to put his controller aside and use keyboard to reply all the time in game or main menu ,controller chat pad would be best option for instant replying while gaming or in game it's so bad that no support for windows user not even a response or a reply

2013-12-23T23:12:02+00:00 Yeah! Right! And when the guy gets to the Xbox forum they will just tell him the same ****: This will be better suited for the windows forum. If you were a real Support Engineer you would not be moderating forums!

2013-07-11T23:32:05+00:00 Microsoft Support, You may be wondering why all these people want an XBOX ChatPad to work with their PC. I will list five reasons for you (starting w/ the obvious):
-
- Text input for Windows LIVE Games and compatible software (Setup: Wireless Controller, Remote Display)
-
- Gaming: Keyboard Hotkeys: Modern games make extensive use of HotKeys. Many games require you switch from XInput/XBOX Controller to Keyboard/Mouse to use HotKeys or input text.
-
- ChatPad + Controller = total game control for PC dedicated users. The PC gaming market will never go away in favor of the XBOX or any other console. PC games often provide the most immersive experience through use of demanding game resources and user customization options (i.e. mods, hotkeys, 3D gaming, muli-monitor, etc) - one area that consoles are continually several steps behind on.
-
- Headset: I know Microsoft would probably like to focus it's gaming customers towards XBOX to subdue competing platforms, but I must say if You forget your Roots (Personal Computer) your branches will cease to reach. In other words, don't abandon the PC gaming market purely for marketing strategy - the market is treacherous and it will leave you dead in the street if you can't move forward.... (think windows 8 on a desktop... abandoned)
-
- BECAUSE WE ASKED: Customer service is NOT OPTIONAL. You can delay or deny it, but market superiority is perishable. Without good customer service I tend to abandon a service or line of products without a second thought. I probably don't need this junk anyways. Do you need us?
FINAL THOUGHTS: Microsoft may pay this no mind. I know there will those who agree and disagree, perhaps, but if nothing else is true.... reasons number 2 and 5 are.

2013-07-05T12:45:09+00:00 If another company made a similar product for the pc I would likely buy it, but in the meantime
I'll just leave this here

But if you have the cabled USB Wired controller, a few drivers are out there.
But we all know we want wireless.
-Xris
As stated before, drivers for the WIRED Controller have been floating around for sometime.
Bemused be the recent post above this one, as if they were posting something new.
For those whom have been waiting a long six years for a driver.
I link for you the Holy Grail

UPDATE:
Was having issues with the chatpad drives above in Windows 8 x64 Pro
but -> https://github.com/ryandb2/XBOX360WIRELESSCONTROLLERCHATPAD worked fine :)
Remember all this stuff is still in alpha stages.
