Can you help trouble shoot Sharper Image Internet Weather Station EC-WS115?

I got this as a gift. It came without a software disk. After emailing customer support I got a link to the the following software:

I downloaded this software.  It brings up the software images on my screen ... I can enter my home location in the software ... but the software never connects to the internet ... so I star all over again.  The installation and troubleshooting guide for this software can be found at:

This gadget is supposedly compatible with Windows 7.  I am running Windows 7 Pro on my HP Computer.

    could you please send me the download   I had it on a extra hard drive   but  that driver failed me   Thank you

    It seems all servers are down as of March 2016.  I only have version 1.01 of the original software.  Is there some newer version (I've looked everywhere) to connect to an active server?

    Could you please pass along any software that would connect to an active server?  I have only the original version 1.01 and it's been saying cannot connect to server ever since early March 2016...  Thanks!

    I just got one for $14.99 at Boscovs in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. December 26 2011.  It came packed with Version1.01.  I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits and it installed perfectly.  I set it up for two cities, local and Minneapolis my son's home.  What I noted which might help some it took about 10 minutes to link up, it's not fast.  I put the receiver next to the transmitter on the floor during the linking process.  After that I moved it 20 feet away and its good.  If you disconnect from 120v source it still works but you must hit snooze/mode button for an illuminated display I'm not sure if there is another way.  If you hit pc it starts link up proces over but does relink in a few minutes.   One aspect I see as a con, it does not support any country South of the US in the Western Hemisphere.  Other than that it's a good product.I'm sure if you contact SI at 1-888-856-6781 they can provide a download.
