Reason for all the problesm with date and time and updating weather data is they are currently moving the server...once its up and running again..everything will fix itself..
Can you help trouble shoot Sharper Image Internet Weather Station EC-WS115?
I got this as a gift. It came without a software disk. After emailing customer support I got a link to the the following software:
http://www.box.net/shared/static/6o8ihesobp.exe
I downloaded this software. It brings up the software images on my screen ... I can enter my home location in the software ... but the software never connects to the internet ... so I star all over again. The installation and troubleshooting guide for this software can be found at:
This gadget is supposedly compatible with Windows 7. I am running Windows 7 Pro on my HP Computer.

2012-06-03T21:35:03+00:00 Thanks to Stefan I have been introduced to Fiddler 2. There is quite a bit of info to be gleaned from this product.
The WS calls were coded in C
The date time data being returned is from servers in Bayside I believe Queens in NY not Finland
Finland’s IP addresses range is
From IP To IP
62.44.192.0 62.44.255.255 16384 19/12/2001 62.61.64.0 62.61.127.255 16384 06/06/2001 The C Getweather call identifies the city with a 9 digit numerical
The data being returned seems to be leftover caching info and to me is undecipherable.
I suspect WS software waits until all data is returned in the call and buffers it before posting to the device hardware hence though a valid date/time is returned residual data is displayed.
The residual date data is buffered by WS software as it is updated.
There are 4 buffers for the City data the stored data for any city remains constant
The HTTP protocol for the calls returns 200 (good call) there is no error indication returned on the call
There’s lots more info uncovered by Fiddler I could post but who cares.
Conclusion
The Ferco server as I stated Thursday is down. This has been confirmed by you and other sources.
My guess is no one is working over the weekend to fix it. I would hope by COB Monday we get valid data again.

2012-06-04T18:33:09+00:00 Thanks ept8202 and all for all your help on this - I too have had the exact same problem the past week. Was working perfectly then nothing. Hours off, date showing 11/3 all of it. Hopefully they get this server issue resolved - I'll be looking for your continued updates from you or to see if the software finally has incoming data. At least then we'll know we are on the right track!
