Can you help trouble shoot Sharper Image Internet Weather Station EC-WS115?

Thanks uplindy, just what I was looking for after I deleted mine & decided to re-install after I couldn't find the software.

Stefan, I am no programmer, however I am in college and have several friends who are quite good. Have you considered creating a completely 3rd party program to run on the PC that will update the display with whatever data we want? If this is not something you're not interested in doing, I have a couple of friends that would probably be willing to tackle this sort of project. I saw earlier in the thread that it was using C calls. Is there any data, code, info, suggestions, etc that you, or any of you in the thread, would be willing to offer up? I just got this thing for my wife and am very dissappointed that it's reallly a piece of **** because of lousy software.

I ditto this.............. after setting the 'home city' data under the HOME WEATHER TAB, this app

is running fine on WINDOWS 7. The only issue seems to be the updating of data to the display

seems a bit slow, but the data on the PC is updated instantly!

Stefan, your solution works perfectly. Thanks very much. I did as you explained: 

1. Stopped the application ("Close" on the application, then right click the the tray icon and choose Exit)
2. Located the original "5-day forecast.exe" in Program Files (x86)
3. Renamed it in the same location
4. Saved your download (right-clicked your link, and Save link as ... ) directly to the same location as the original: http://www.fraservalleysoftware.com/download/5-day forecast.exe
5. Double clicked the new "5-day forecast.exe" (also tried using the original desktop icon, and as that is still targeting the .exe file, it still launches the application just fine)
6. Voila, the application is back to life on my PC (Win Vista 64-bit); the setting does indeed show "V1.02b (FVS)"
7. Getting the device to display requires the same tedium as always - good batteries, start it next to the transmitter, move it gradually away to its site a couple of rooms away . . . .

I uninstalled my SI weather station and now I am not able to get the disk or the link above to work. Every time I click this link or try my disc, I get the message "4-day forecast has stopped working" or "5-day forecast has stopped working"  I've tried several times w/ my Kaspersky anit-virus off. Any suggestions?

I just checked responses on server 2 and 3 and it seems it's back to working again!

So we can finally put this issue to rest....
