Can you help trouble shoot Sharper Image Internet Weather Station EC-WS115?

I got this as a gift. It came without a software disk. After emailing customer support I got a link to the the following software:

http://www.box.net/shared/static/6o8ihesobp.exe

I downloaded this software.  It brings up the software images on my screen ... I can enter my home location in the software ... but the software never connects to the internet ... so I star all over again.  The installation and troubleshooting guide for this software can be found at:

This gadget is supposedly compatible with Windows 7.  I am running Windows 7 Pro on my HP Computer.

    i am here in charlotte, nc still not working here either, just plugged it in for first time in three days.

    i'm in maryland and I'm still not working. An email from Sharper Image yesterday late afternoon only indicated they are working on it.

    My WS is still down at 11:20 AM 6/5/2012.  Hope your news is a good sign for all of us.  Ps I'm in Eastern Pennsylvania.  I wonder if the outage is location related as well.  Could you post the State your in?
