i did the recovery procedure on my laptop but got msg..

As you mentioned that Windows is slow, I would suggest you to run this Microsoft fixit and check if it helps.

Please also run Microsoft safety scanner to check for any virus or malware which may be causing the issue.

Note: Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

    I have the same error the complete message says:

    System Restore

    Did not complete successfully. Your computer files and settings were not changed.

    Details: 

    An unspecified error occurred during System Restore. (0xc0000022)

    I wasn't aware you could get any kind of error message during the restore process.

    It was always at the end of the restore.

    But I would like an answer to this too.
