As you mentioned that Windows is slow, I would suggest you to run this Microsoft fixit and check if it helps.

Please also run Microsoft safety scanner to check for any virus or malware which may be causing the issue.

    I put so much effort into this. I spoke to Microsoft technicians and gave them control of my computer several times all to no avail. My wife persevered more than I did and managed to get my pc working by disabling some features. In the end, I managed to get a replacement computer from Acer  as it was less than a year old when the  problem began and so it was still under warrantee. I am sorry that I cannot be of more help. Good luck, I hope you find a fix.
