As you mentioned that Windows is slow, I would suggest you to run this Microsoft fixit and check if it helps.

Please also run Microsoft safety scanner to check for any virus or malware which may be causing the issue.

Note: Any data files that are infected may only be cleaned by deleting the file entirely, which means there is a potential for data loss.

    I also have been receiving error 0xc0000022.   I re-installed Windows 10 and no longer receive the error message.

    I was getting   0xc0000022.   I went to settings, then to apps and deleted "shared c run-time for x64  McAfee.   I ran 4 places I was getting the message  0xc0000022 and no longer receive the error message !!!   I hope it is fixed !!!

    Thank you for your kindness. Meanwhile I opted for Win 10 and got rid of the bug's Win 7. Thanks again!

    Windows 7 Pro, HP Pavilion dv7, 

    1: Windows will not update.

    2: Scanned and checked possible corruptions and deleted some old unused files and programs.

    3: Went through recover steps and get this error 0xc0000022. 

    4: I use AVG Internet Security and it shows windows is permitted, but after going through the recovery and error AVG wants to restart?

    Appreciate any suggestions and help. Thanks, DB
