I am trying to use my Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel in Windows 7 using the Wireless Gaming Receiver to connect it to my PC.
It connects fine and I can use the wheel in games, but I'm not getting any force feedback and I don't see it mentioned in the device configuration in the control panel.
This page: http://www.xbox.com/en-gb/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessgamingreceiver/ specifies that the wheel should have drivers available for Windows Vista in the future (I am guessing this page is well out of date) with force feedback but I can't find mention of these drivers anywhere.

Technically, this is a Windows 7 Driver Support question on when then Wireless Gaming Receiver drivers will be updated to provide force feedback support as was promised in the URL the previous poster provided.
I to would be interested in if this work is progressing. If it has been cancelled you may wish to notify marketing and get them to update the page in question.

I installed the MS driver for the xbox360 wirelss receiver first from microsoft webpage here:

I have Windows 7 64bit
I then plugged in my authentic brand new black wireless receiver (from Ebay) and it auto detected it but is seen as a 'unknown device' in device manager.
I proceeded with these steps to install the driver
Right click - on Unknown Device in Device Manager
Click - Update Driver Software
Click - Browse my computer for driver software
Click - Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
In the window list, choose Microsoft Common Controller for Windows Class
Click Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows
Click Next (a warning pops up that it may not be suitable, PROCEED ANYWAY, Just Say YES)
Plug n Play will be happening during installation and it will now be in device manager as 'Microsoft Common Controller for Windows Class'
Sync up your controller, if your xbox 360 is near you and it has already been sync up with it, you will need unplug the xbox 360 during this process.
I tested my xbox 360 wireless racing wheel and played Dirt 2 with no problems

This settled me down and I no longer have the desire to punch Bill Gates in the stomach if I would have seen him in the public square ;-)

The issue is not that the wheel doesn't work - it works - it's just that there's no force feedback.
No, FFB isn't working. In Dirt2, the wheel seems to handle like it is a game pad (rigid turns) and none of the tweaks to change the strengths in the game appear to be working either. It appears as if the driver is designed for the xbox360 Gamepad which just happens to work with the Wheel Controller too. I shopped around for other $100 $150 wheels but none have native (out of the box) support for Windows 7 64bit. I will just wait it out for the next generation of wheels which support Windows 7 natively. Luckily for me, Dirt2 is the only game I've bought for the PC to test out 2D Surround with 3 monitors I've recently aquired. All my other racing games are on Xbox 360 for the big screen TV setup. I have a very excellent original Logitech Formula Force Wheel that doesn't work with Windows 7 64bit so unless I dual boot with WinXP, that is a dinosaur play toy as well.
