Force Feedback on Xbox 360 Racing Wheel using Wireless Gaming Reciever in Windows 7

I am trying to use my Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel in Windows 7 using the Wireless Gaming Receiver to connect it to my PC.

It connects fine and I can use the wheel in games, but I'm not getting any force feedback and I don't see it mentioned in the device configuration in the control panel.

This page: http://www.xbox.com/en-gb/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessgamingreceiver/ specifies that the wheel should have drivers available for Windows Vista in the future (I am guessing this page is well out of date) with force feedback but I can't find mention of these drivers anywhere.

Technically, this is a Windows 7 Driver Support question on when then Wireless Gaming Receiver drivers will be updated to provide force feedback support as was promised in the URL the previous poster provided.

I to would be interested in if this work is progressing.  If it has been cancelled you may wish to notify marketing and get them to update the page in question.

    I don't know about the XBOX wheel, but Force Feedback  does work when using the  the

    XBOX 360 controller, as well as Logitech controllers  that use both Xinput (XBOX) and Dinput,

    if you have the most recent  XBOX 360 Accessories Software.

    So I imagine that the XBOX  360 wheel should now work as well.

    (Well, unless Monopoly$oft are more doofus , or just more uncaring than I already thought.)

    This is a dated thread (first 18 pages from 2010), so some links may no longer be active, and

    others may go to older software versions. Try the newer version of the software below.

    Note that it still does not allow for changing any settings or creating profiles, and most likely never will.

    • I believe there was also a new Xinput file (there are three in total) that installs with DirectX update,

    so if you have never updated DirectX that may also help (this would have been from 2010 though).

    Just read a few posts back.. There will never be any Force Feedback drivers for Windows.

    I too am using this wheel with Windows 7 by means of the wireless receiver. Basic functions work, but I would like information about when the force feedback drivers will be available, like the original and subsequent posters.
