Force Feedback on Xbox 360 Racing Wheel using Wireless Gaming Reciever in Windows 7

I am trying to use my Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel in Windows 7 using the Wireless Gaming Receiver to connect it to my PC.

It connects fine and I can use the wheel in games, but I'm not getting any force feedback and I don't see it mentioned in the device configuration in the control panel.

This page: http://www.xbox.com/en-gb/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessgamingreceiver/ specifies that the wheel should have drivers available for Windows Vista in the future (I am guessing this page is well out of date) with force feedback but I can't find mention of these drivers anywhere.

Technically, this is a Windows 7 Driver Support question on when then Wireless Gaming Receiver drivers will be updated to provide force feedback support as was promised in the URL the previous poster provided.

I to would be interested in if this work is progressing.  If it has been cancelled you may wish to notify marketing and get them to update the page in question.

Cheers.

Throw me on the pile of people who kept this thing in the closet for years in hopes that someone would develop a driver for it.  What a waste of a great piece of hardware.  I haven't turned on my 360 in 5+ years, but I would jump up and down like a kid on Christmas if they released force feedback for PC.

As it stands, their flat-out lies about the product's functionality has led me to avoid all of their products.  No XBone for me.  They can't be trusted to support their FIRST PARTY peripherals?  Not a sign of a company you can put your faith into.

Soooo.... this thread still periodically still gets posted to.... and quite right too, MS promised drivers and never saw it through.

I still have my wheel, Xbox360 is coming to the end of it's life and I've moved on to PC gaming, I buy Project Cars last night and get the wheel working under Custom settings. And it works ok, with rumble too but obviously...

    NO FORCE FEEDBACK!!!

There still must be thousands of people out there wanting a proper driver for this wheel on PC. How difficult would it have been for them to sort?

I agree with you guys, it's really annoying.  It's nice to see updates to this thread but I gave up hope and on black friday I bought a Logitech G27 (ps3/4 and PC).  The feedback from that in Project Cars is vicious! :)

Will keep the MS wheel and 360 for my kids to mess with but can't imagine it'll see much use (hasn't for the last year!).

Yup, done buying M$ peripherals. Going to do my best to discourage fellow gamers from doing the same. With all the income they have, developing ffb drivera for their own freaking wheel should be a drop in the bucket.
