Force Feedback on Xbox 360 Racing Wheel using Wireless Gaming Reciever in Windows 7

I am trying to use my Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel in Windows 7 using the Wireless Gaming Receiver to connect it to my PC.

It connects fine and I can use the wheel in games, but I'm not getting any force feedback and I don't see it mentioned in the device configuration in the control panel.

This page: http://www.xbox.com/en-gb/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessgamingreceiver/ specifies that the wheel should have drivers available for Windows Vista in the future (I am guessing this page is well out of date) with force feedback but I can't find mention of these drivers anywhere.

Technically, this is a Windows 7 Driver Support question on when then Wireless Gaming Receiver drivers will be updated to provide force feedback support as was promised in the URL the previous poster provided.

I to would be interested in if this work is progressing.  If it has been cancelled you may wish to notify marketing and get them to update the page in question.

Cheers.

    Hi Mate,

    Yeah I'm on that forum too, It's supported but I think without force feedback. (They probably implemented the FFB for the OPC version the same as they did for XBOX) but it will be a driver limitation which means FFB wont work on the Wireless Gaming Receiver. I just ordered mine from amazing (they seem obsolete now, all out of stock in many many other stores - so either something better is coming along or they have just given up completely with the wireless gaming receiver (I hope not)). When i receive mine I'm going to take a look at the driver and see if I can hack something together to get the FFB working. Don't hold out too much hope though.

    codemasters are saying the wheel is officially supported for the PC in conjunction with f1 2010, i have the suspicion the force feedback will still not work. check out this thread;

    i signed to ask, maybe they can have some influence on the situation. its worth trying :)

    Done,

    And what a douche bag: "what can i do about it"!

    As said before it would probably take half a day to a day to implement for a experienced driver writer in Microsoft to do.
