I click on solve PC issues (the flag) and it says Address a problem with NVIDIA graphics driver. I click it and it says

This solution could not be downloaded

Most likely causes:

Your computer was unable to download the solution at this time. Check to make sure your computer is connected to the Internet, and then try to download the solution again later.

I am connected to the internet, and windows update works, web browsing works etc. Why isn't it downloading the solution?

Download and install the latest nVidia driver for your graphics card.

I too am suffering from everyone else is describing here. This started in late May. This happened with the previous and current versions of the NVidia Driver. I too am using 64 bit Win 7 Home Premium. My problem has now escalated as Windows is now booting into a 640 x 480 mode. When I checked the Device Manger the listing for my NVidia GeForce 8800 GTS; I receive: "Device Status: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)".

I tried removing and re-installing the NVidia drivers with no luck. I notice that the graphics card is doing something odd during the boot: the screen has turned to gibberish. The ASUS motherboard logo has disappeared. The computer is almost unusable in this situation.

When doing a search on nvlddmkm.sys there are a ton of people all offering a multitude of solutions for this problem. It is odd how different they are:

Don't overclock your system (I don't)

Use only one stick of memory (???)

Remove update KB952287 (I never had it)

Remove un-necessary power from mother board (I have no extra cards installed), etc.

One thing I have not seen here is a solution for this problem. Why if it is showing up on so many system has it not been addressed.

I'm having the same problems as the people above, as are many all over the net as a cursory google search will confirm. I'm appalled at the total lack of interest that Microsoft has shown in what appears to be a very common problem.

As for myself, I've tried many different driver versions, betas, latest release and older drivers which are known to be stable, to no avail. I had no problems with XP, and I would revert if it wasn't for the fact that I can't find the disc.

Hey Microsoft, what's the purpose of this forum? I am under the obvious misimpression that you are supposed to offer support assistance. I see all the people who have complied with your request for a dxdiag dump, and not one single suggestion beyond "load the latest driver". This forum is as good an advertisement for Apple as I've ever encountered. Microsoft product support is a blatant joke. I'm having the exact problem described in this thread and read the whole thing with the delusion I might be able to fix the problem...thanks for nothing.
