Download and install the latest nVidia driver for your graphics card.
I click "Address a problem with NVIDIA graphics driver" and it says "This solution could not be downloaded".
I click on solve PC issues (the flag) and it says Address a problem with NVIDIA graphics driver. I click it and it says
This solution could not be downloaded

I am connected to the internet, and windows update works, web browsing works etc. Why isn't it downloading the solution?

2012-09-14T07:42:54+00:00 This is funny, but all the replies here have mostly NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM !!!
THE PROBLEM is microsoft related, and hte question was -> SOLUTION CAN NOT BE DOWNLOADED, MS WINDOWS BUG, NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR VIDEO DRIVER.
IF YOU WANT A SOLUTION FOR BSOD, NVIDIA/ATI go here : http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=64607
works perfectly.
FOR THE "SOLUTION CAN NOT BE DOWNLOADED" we are yet to see an answer from MS itself. It seems they haven't a CLUE IN THE WORLD why the solution can not be downloaded trough the internet while bein connected. I will go for a CACHE/LOOKUP problem to the appropriate address myself....but that s a wild guess.
And honestly, MS doesn't care, plain simple ... why should they ?
So, back to original question, WHY CAN T THE SOLUTION BE DOWNLOADED, please answer.
Regards

2012-09-24T00:47:44+00:00 I agree 100%. Fixing a bug that keeps resurfacing in the Nvidia drivers is a separate issue and can be addressed though Nvidia or a 3rd party hardware site. The bug in Action Center remains untouched and will continue to deliver the same unhelpful message until it is properly dealt with. The whole issue is being sidelined by advice for individual cases, which could have been solved easily if Action Center gave a relevant message rather than the bogus one about internet connectivity.
My advice to people having this problem is that Action Center is broken and should be ignored. Solutions can be found by acting on the original message given after the system recovers - update the graphics driver if a new version is available, or roll back to a previous working version until a solution is available from the driver provider.

2012-10-08T14:38:54+00:00 This is a bug in PC Issues. Basically Microsoft have a duff link in their PC Issues database so whenever an NVidia driver blue screens (which seems to be a common problem), it tries to download a fix from an invalid URL, which will always fail.
From the age of this thread and the fact that PC Issues is still trying to download a fix from an invalid URL, it seems Microsoft have no intention of finding the broken URL in their database and fixing it.
The best solution available to you is to check NVidia's own website for new drivers which do get released from time to time and hope one of them fixes the bug. If all else fails it's probably worth replacing the graphics card with one for which a working driver is available. Or just live with occasional blue screen crashes.
My GeForce 210 used to crash (blue screen) about once a month, but just I've installed the latest driver released in August 2012, and although it crashed after rebooting the first time, since then it has been running fine, so hopefully this is now fixed. If it does it again, I will buy a non-nVidia graphics card. I've never had this kind of problem before, but it seems nVidia really are habitually shipping buggy drivers, rendering their hardware unusable and unfit for the purpose sold.
Two more notes on nVidia drivers:
1, The 'automatically find drivers' option on their web site does not seem to work (says's it needs Java, even after you re-install Java - might be that it only works with specific browsers, or maybe it's just not Windows 7 compatible).
2, The nVidia driver installers tend to crash and you can't normally install the driver using them. The solution to this is to install the driver via the windows Device Manager. Proceed with the download/install process until it crashes (by this time it will have unpacked the files), find the graphics adapter in device manager, display properties, click to upgrade driver, and choose option to browse to find, select the folder the nVidia driver was unpacked to, and select sub folders. It should find the driver file and install it without any further problems.
3, The latest driver may also have bugs in it, and may be better or worse than your current one. You can normally roll back to an earlier driver using Device Manager.
And finally, to get rid of the flawed PC Issue message just click the option to dismiss it (it won't know you've upgraded the driver).
Microsoft - You have an invalid URL in your PC Actions database. Fix it. It's not hard. Just test every nVidia URL in your database, and fix the one that does not resolve.
NVidia - Your drivers don't work and cause PCs to blue screen. Also, your installers crash. Also your scan to find driver technology doesn't work. Also I won't buy another nVidia product.
