I click on solve PC issues (the flag) and it says Address a problem with NVIDIA graphics driver. I click it and it says

This solution could not be downloaded

Most likely causes:

Your computer was unable to download the solution at this time. Check to make sure your computer is connected to the Internet, and then try to download the solution again later.

I am connected to the internet, and windows update works, web browsing works etc. Why isn't it downloading the solution?

Hi Chris, I'm having the same problem where Windows would not download a solution for NVIDIA Graphics driver. I've tried downloading updates for the driver but the screen goes black everytime i tried installing one and i have to resort to "Safe Mode" to uninstall it again. I've tried everything. This just started with my pc a day ago. I went to NVIDIA and let them run it through and they said my driver was updated. Which I already knew that!

What did I change recently on my pc I thought? I went back and reset my User Account Control settings (UAC) back to default, I had it on HIGH. I then archived the message telling me about the driver.

It's gone!!!!

This thread goes back to '09 and may not be at all relevant to whatever your problem is.

As with several previous posters who had a new question you should start a new thread,

and give details of what is, or is not happening. Include your system specifications and...

please don't include a full and basically useless (except for the graphics card make and model)

dxdiag report.

Also - Don't use a driver newer than 310.90 or 314.22 with 400 or 500 series Nvidia cards.

There have apparently been on going issues with newer drivers and these cards

(still using the 310.90 driver with my GTX560ti ).

Don't use any form of automated graphics driver update (especially Windows updates or Device Manager).

Always download from Nvidia and uninstall via Programs and Features.

Reboot before installing the new drivers.

Download Nvidia WHQL drivers from their site - Unless using a laptop, in which case download the drivers

from the web sit for the mfg of the laptop -

(EDIT: March 2014) Newer drivers from 331.58 on have not been a problem with my GTX560ti.

The series of Nvidia graphics driver to avoid when using 400/500 series cards is the 320.-- versions.

EDIT: Again (2015) - Even this post is now two years old and driver versions are not necessarily relevant.
