XP will not restore active desktop

Hello rghaynes_710, welcome.

I would attempt to delete and recreate the active desktop. If that does not work, perhaps the content on the website itself is having technical problems.

You can also attempt to reset Internet Explorer back to defaults to see if that resolves the issue.

Click START
Click 'Control Panel'
Double click 'Internet Options'
Click on the 'Advanced' tab and select 'Reset...' at the very bottom of the Window
Restart your computer

Hi! I have this problem but by the time I have logged in (1 user only) and gone through any of the steps mentioned, then my pc in effect locks up and nothing can be done except use the switch on the box. I click and type fast but not fast enough.

Can you help please?
