Teredo tunneling pseudo interface shows a yellow exlamation mark in Device Manager. Windows 7 Ultmate 64

I have just completed a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 on my system and all is well except for a yellow exclamation mark showing in Device Manager under "Network adapters" and against the item "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface"

Looking under the properties for this device shows "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

I haven't got any idea on what this device is or does.

Could someone please advise on this problem.

Thanks.

Hi Siebert9,

Welcome to Microsoft Answers Community Forum!

First thing I would like to suggest you is to uninstall and reinstall the device from device manager and verify if the yellow exclamation mark disappears.

You can also try updating your network driver by following these steps:

  • Right click the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface
  • Update Driver Software...
  • Browse my computer for driver software
  • Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
  • Select from the list and update the driver.

Also you may get this mark because the network adapter may not be compatible with Windows 7. Request you to contact the manufacturer’s website and download the latest driver/adaptor that is compatible with Windows 7.

To check for compatibility in windows 7, visit the below mentioned link:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

Hope this helps resolve your issue!

Thanks & Regards,

Supreeth - Microsoft Support.

It won't do it. It says windows found the driver software for your device but encountered an error while trying to install it.

    Supreeth;

I Read this Entire Post Thread...I'm Still having the Problem even after doing the Un-Install/Re-Install, Now what??

Also in my Case it seems to involve 2 other Utilities:

    Microsoft ISATAP Adapter

    Microsoft ISATAP Adapter 2

So, ALL 3 have the Yellow Explanation Point, with a CODE 10

I'm running for my OS: Windows 7 Home Premium-64 Bit

Hello,  I'm having the same issue on Dell Latitude E6400, E4300, E6510 model laptops all on Win 7 x64 Professional with SP1.  Uninstalling and reinstalling the legacy hardware did not work!  Is there anything else we can do to have this device working correctly as I believe this is affecting function of Huawei ZTE MF636 device on all these laptops.
