Teredo tunneling pseudo interface shows a yellow exlamation mark in Device Manager. Windows 7 Ultmate 64

I have just completed a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 on my system and all is well except for a yellow exclamation mark showing in Device Manager under "Network adapters" and against the item "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface" 

Looking under the properties for this device shows "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

I haven't got any idea on what this device is or does.

Could someone please advise on this problem.

First thing I would like to suggest you is to uninstall and reinstall the device from device manager and verify if the yellow exclamation mark disappears.

You can also try updating your network driver by following these steps:

  • Right click the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface
  • Update Driver Software...
  • Browse my computer for driver software
  • Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
  • Select from the list and update the driver.

Also you may get this mark because the network adapter may not be compatible with Windows 7. Request you to contact the manufacturer’s website and download the latest driver/adaptor that is compatible with Windows 7.

    So has anyone found a fix to this yet?  I am now having this issue and can't find any help online thus far.  I am able to get online, but it keeps telling me that my hard drive is at risk...

    help!!

    chaswach4.....I believe you are right!!  Shame on Microsoft for first creating the problem and then not having a fix for it.  SMH!!!

    This didn't help me at all.  My computer isn't even recognizing my router and the teredo tunneling pseudo-interface doesn't apear in my device manager under network adapters.

    Can you please just give s  a link to download it instead of jumping these hoops?

    Win 7 Home Premium.
