Teredo tunneling pseudo interface shows a yellow exlamation mark in Device Manager. Windows 7 Ultmate 64

I have just completed a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 on my system and all is well except for a yellow exclamation mark showing in Device Manager under "Network adapters" and against the item "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface" 

Looking under the properties for this device shows "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

I haven't got any idea on what this device is or does.

Could someone please advise on this problem.

First thing I would like to suggest you is to uninstall and reinstall the device from device manager and verify if the yellow exclamation mark disappears.

You can also try updating your network driver by following these steps:

  • Right click the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface
  • Update Driver Software...
  • Browse my computer for driver software
  • Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
  • Select from the list and update the driver.

Also you may get this mark because the network adapter may not be compatible with Windows 7. Request you to contact the manufacturer’s website and download the latest driver/adaptor that is compatible with Windows 7.

    Can see my Internet provider front page can go no further. There is an excellent wireless connection which other pc are connecting We uninstall Network Adapter and we scan for hardware,we reset the winsock ,we checked the Tcp/Ip for proxcy,Ping Test, IE with no add-ons. I had a message saying cannot communicate with primary dns server(202.149.....network adapter wireless network connection problem. reset the network adapter wireless network connection I was advised to delete teredo tunnelling pseudo but it has ipv6 and ipv4 enabled would this adapter stop me getting on the Internet I have run a repair but no joy.

    Worked out how to reinstall turedo tunneling adapter in device manager and i promise people this is how 2 do it 4 windows 7. In device manager click on the action tab then click on Add legacy hardware. Click Next then select Install Manually from a list then click next. In the list select Network Adapters. Once all the hardware has loaded select Microsoft from the Manufacturer column and then scroll all the way to the bottom in the network adapter column and there it is, select turedo tunneling adpter and then next to install.

    no1 uninstall unless you know how 2 reinstall trust me. thanks supreeth, I uninstalled like you said and now its taking me ages to find answers on here how to find it again. how do u reinstall it supreeth??
