I can't use programs that require .NET Framework.

I'm trying to use a program that has previously worked flawlessly. This program is called GHTCP, which is used with Guitar Hero 3 PC. It requires .NET Framework 2.0 or higher to use. All of sudden, the program just stopped working. I asked to program creator about this, and he said that it sounds like a .NET Framework so here I am.

I'm running Windows Vista. I've tried uninstalling and then installing .NET Framework 3.0 but thats not working. I found that .NET Framework is part of the OS so I can't remove it. Is there any way aside from repairing/reinstalling Windows that I can fix this?

    Hello MementoMori34,

    Sorry you are having a difficult time getting your issue resolved.

    Are you still having errors with your Guitar Hero 3 Control Panel add-on?

    You might try a SFC /scannow to see if you have any corrupt system files.

    Click Start

    Open an elevated command prompt.

    To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. 

    If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow. 

    At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:

    SFC /scannow

    This will check for any integrity violations and fix any corrupted operating system files.

    Then reboot your system.

    If this doesn't help, you might need to do a In-Place upgrade of Windows Vista to repair your system.

    I feel for both of you. My issue is in Windows 7 x64 with Outlook 2007 and Internet Explorer crashing. Also getting ".Net Service has reached limit of transient errors".Have been Googling for 2 days with no results. I hate running into a dead end forum thread. Good luck.

Asking for errors detail when all details have been given, arguing about everything except the problem, talking about things that have nothing to do with the problem, making publicity on personal work and giving the same useless information over and over again... MementoMori34i ear your desperation...)

    A computer on my company is having a similar problem... In this case its using Windows 7 (64bits) and the applications used have nothing to do with guitar hero...only Microsoft applications (office and Messenger) are being used. The error on the event viewer is the same (except the clr version clr_optimization_v2.0.50727_64).

    Have you found a solution for this? when I search on google the most meaningful results point to your posts.

    You have the be the first intelligent poster here who understands what is going on here. And let me go ahead and tell you, never come here again. You will not get an answer; you will not recieve support. Like you said, you'll receive some useless garbage like "CALM DOWN YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE ITS BUILT INTO THE OS." Right as I thought I was going to find out what my problem was by posting the error logs, that guy just totally dissapears. It pisses me off to no end that I had to go through all of that garbage and then just be forgotten about. I've showed this topic to my friends and we've all raged hard about how stupid this community is.
