I can't use programs that require .NET Framework.

O.M.G. DUDE, you got a lot of responses! I did not read them all and I do not know if this will work, but go into your services and see if the .Net Framework 4 is on. I noticed that mine was not on (when I had a problem similar to yours) but after I started it, my .NET Framework 4 kept stopping in Windows 7. I hope this helps and good luck!

I may not have said so in previous posts, but when I tell you that I've done that means that I've done it. When I tell you it didn't do anything, it means it didn't do anything. You people are so infuriating.

I would restore if, like the user above me said, this question wasn't TWO MONTHS OLD. I have no restore points that far back anymore, or else I would have already done so.

Here's how you can actually help me:

1. Close Notepad, stop copying and pasting your official Knowledge Base answers that haven't helped at all
2. Look at my problem for yourself, read the posts, and look what I've gone through
3. Try to actually help me

If no one can help me, then just say so. I'm sick of Microsoft, and I'm sick of this pathetic excuse as a "support" forum. Learn to do your job.

Give the man a break...he just said that the sfc /scannow didn't find anyhting (as it did for me), what makes you thing that it will now???

And he stated that it just started to happening...almost two months ago we he opened this question...I don't think suggesting a system restore now its going to help....

Don't just give "automatic answers" read the posts before...

No where did I see mention of you doing the SFC /scannow in your post.

I would try it again to see if you have any corrupt system files.

Click Start

Open an elevated command prompt.

To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. 

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow. 

At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:

SFC /scannow

This will check for any integrity violations and fix any corrupted operating system files.

Then reboot your system.

You also stated this just started happening. Do you have a system restore point that you can restore to when the Guitar Hero 3 Control Panel was working?

To choose a System Restore point,

·         From the Desktop click the Pearl (start) button

·         In the Search Field type “System Restore” and hit enter

·         Once System Restore is open, select the option “choose a different restore point” and hit next

Once on the next screen, pick a restore point to go back to when it last worked for you. Once you select the restore point, click next, then select finish, this will start the restore process.

Sorry you are having a difficult time getting your issue resolved.

Are you still having errors with your Guitar Hero 3 Control Panel add-on?

You might try a SFC /scannow to see if you have any corrupt system files.

Click Start

If this doesn't help, you might need to do a In-Place upgrade of Windows Vista to repair your system.
