I can't use programs that require .NET Framework.

I'm trying to use a program that has previously worked flawlessly. This program is called GHTCP, which is used with Guitar Hero 3 PC. It requires .NET Framework 2.0 or higher to use. All of sudden, the program just stopped working. I asked to program creator about this, and he said that it sounds like a .NET Framework so here I am.

I'm running Windows Vista. I've tried uninstalling and then installing .NET Framework 3.0 but thats not working. I found that .NET Framework is part of the OS so I can't remove it. Is there any way aside from repairing/reinstalling Windows that I can fix this?

been facing the worst nights and days in the Windows® XP era. This

since Windows® XP machines DID NOT include .NET Framework Redistribution

Package, it simply wasn’t preinstalled so each user need to install .NET Framework.

However, once Microsoft® shipped Windows Vista™ the story changed for us as

programmers and .NET application developers using Microsoft® Visual Studio®

IDE and the components and API shared for programmers within the .NET Framework

Library.

Okay, you two need to stop. Figure out this needs to be and move it. Otherwise, just help me. The versions that I have installed are v1.0.3705, v1.1.4322, v2.0.50727, v3.0, and v3.5. When I said 3.5 and 4.0 didn't work, I mean they didn't make the program work. I could install them fine. I checked Event Viewer and I had like 12 errors with .NET all with the same following error message: ".NET Runtime Optimization Service (clr_optimization_v2.0.50727_32) - Service reached limit of transient errors. Will shut down. Last error returned from Service Manager: 0x80029c4a." So what does this mean? Can it be fixed without having to resintall/repair Vista?

DW20.EXE is a Microsoft .NET Error Reporting Shim. Sometimes it’s called Microsoft Application Error Reporting. This file is part of Microsoft® .NET Framework. DW20.EXE is developed by Microsoft Corporation. It’s a system and hidden file.

Check if there are any related error messages in event viewer.
