I can't use programs that require .NET Framework.

I'm trying to use a program that has previously worked flawlessly. This program is called GHTCP, which is used with Guitar Hero 3 PC. It requires .NET Framework 2.0 or higher to use. All of sudden, the program just stopped working. I asked to program creator about this, and he said that it sounds like a .NET Framework so here I am.

I'm running Windows Vista. I've tried uninstalling and then installing .NET Framework 3.0 but thats not working. I found that .NET Framework is part of the OS so I can't remove it. Is there any way aside from repairing/reinstalling Windows that I can fix this?

    I know this picture. So, the redist is not needed ;) To install .net 3.x use the control panel-turn Windows features on/off, depending which Windows you use.

    Might work, good input. Andre, to be honest I never used .NET Framework 3.0 (or 3.5)

    I always develop and program my apps under .NET Framework 2.0. But I think the problem

    can be with the program the OP is trying to run, as the OP stated on one of the posts above:

    EDIT: The point with this post was to explain that the developer of the

    program did not give good instructions.

    I found a sort of MAP for .NET Framework versions that are included:

    (Source: http://superuser.com/questions/109207/what-version-of-the-net-framework-is-included-in-windows-7build-7600 ).

    The one with SP1 was included, might be some fixes that where required for this to be fully stable

    under Windows 7 RTM the actual final relase version (6.1.7600).

    .net 3.5 (Sp1) is included in Windows 7!

    Fine, yes, the one with SP1 but NOT the first 3.5 version that was shipped, not as far as I remember,

    but anyway, I think we had a good discussion here. Great. :)
