I'm trying to use a program that has previously worked flawlessly. This program is called GHTCP, which is used with Guitar Hero 3 PC. It requires .NET Framework 2.0 or higher to use. All of sudden, the program just stopped working. I asked to program creator about this, and he said that it sounds like a .NET Framework so here I am.
I'm running Windows Vista. I've tried uninstalling and then installing .NET Framework 3.0 but thats not working. I found that .NET Framework is part of the OS so I can't remove it. Is there any way aside from repairing/reinstalling Windows that I can fix this?

The .NET Framework versions are actually separate things - there's no guarantee that a program that uses .NET 2.0 will work with .NET 3.0 - you've been repairing the wrong Framework.
If you don't have .NET 2.0 installed, then you need to download and install.it - or the .NET 3.5 family, which does include .NET 2.0 (Confused? I was too!)

Whenever it crashes, a process called "dw20.exe" appears in the Task Manager. The description for this is "Microsoft .NET Error Reporting Shim."
I out found that .NET Framework is part of the OS so I can't remove it completely then reinstall. Is there any way aside from repairing/reinstalling Windows that I can fix this?
