Programs Crash, error: Fault module kernelbase.dll . Application crash

I have several programs that seems to be in some conflict with kernelbase.dll. They crash the moment I start them and kernelbase.dll is the fault module.

I've tried installing windows twice but the problem persist.

I've tried running in 'clean boot'.

I've tried 'Windows Resource Protection'

I've tried running the program in different compatability states.

Nothing helps. Any ideas?

I guess you have answered it yourself. User Profile corruption.

Log in as a different User. rename the problem profile. Log in as the original user again. A new profile will get created. If the crash is gone, copy your over your user data from the corrupted one.

If it does not solve the issue. Repeat steps with default folder too. This is the template profile, when creating new profiles.

    I have been having this problem in Windows 10, with a disturbing twist.  Renaming the .exe file to something else fixes it.  I can't imagine why a program would crash if it's named one thing, but not if it's renamed.  Running it from a different user does not solve the problem. Application compatibility is not enabled. Also it crashes on load before any code from AppMain is run.

    I have tried logging into windows as another user, but the same problem (and solution) exists.  As a developer, I cannot ask users to just rename my program to get it to work.  Any ideas what may be going on?

    This is now solved.  The problem was related to windows 10 firewall control.  The application crashed on load when the firewall froze it to disallow access, and the application ran fine when the zone for it is set to 'enable all'.  The Realtime.exe app name was associated with a 'disable all' firewall zone, and other namings of this app were associated with 'enable all' zone in windows firewall control, which allowed the app to run fine.

    So you want me to rename Default folder?

    Im not able to log in with a new user after renaming the default profile..
