Programs Crash, error: Fault module kernelbase.dll . Application crash

I have several programs that seems to be in some conflict with kernelbase.dll. They crash the moment I start them and kernelbase.dll is the fault module.

I've tried installing windows twice but the problem persist.

I've tried running in 'clean boot'.

I've tried 'Windows Resource Protection'

I've tried running the program in different compatability states.

Nothing helps. Any ideas?

I guess you have answered it yourself. User Profile corruption.

Log in as a different User. rename the problem profile. Log in as the original user again. A new profile will get created. If the crash is gone, copy your over your user data from the corrupted one.

If it does not solve the issue. Repeat steps with default folder too. This is the template profile, when creating new profiles.

    Seems you got solution to the problem but you did not mentioned that - how to set the exe file properties to "run as administrator "

    And is there any solution to replace the kernelbase.dll.  I cannot replace it with another file downloaded from net . It tells me that you need special permissions. (ps- I have only one user account on my pc. there i m only the administrator. )

    Are you using MAC computer and have installed windows 7 on boot camp?

    If so follow the below suggestions:

    Open Control Panel

    In view mode “View by Category”, find the section “Clock, Language and Region”

    Click “Change Keyboards or other input methods”

    Press the button “Change Keyboards”

    Press the button “Add”

    Scroll down to “English (United States)” and expand.

    Check box “US”

    Press OK.

    Press OK. — You’ll see two keyboards listed “US” and “United States (Apple)”

    Press OK.

    OMG! Thank god for Google.... I never would have found this otherwise.... When I saw "are you using a MAC with win7 and bootcamp" i jumped for joy......Thankyou from the bottom of my heart... I have to give a presentation tomorrow, and it HAS to be PPT (unfortunately)....
